The story of this skirt is rather simple. I was struck by chud thai and I wanted something like that for myself, but a full-on dress seemed impractical - I wanted a flavor piece; something that I can wear from time to time, on special occasions perhaps. Therefore I decided to get only a skirt which can be styled with tops and accessories to produce a whole plethora of outfits.
The original idea I had in my mind was to have something more wide, more flowy, but for my “European size” there was not enough of the fabric I chose. The skirt ended up tighter, which unfortunately shifts the usage towards more formal occasions.
Construction
Although this skirt looks like a traditional wrap skirt, it’s tailored with a zipper in the back.
